Sales Representative Nancy Murray was honored by the LA City Council on Wednesday, February 20th, 2013 and presented with a Certificate of Recognition for her work with NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) over the past 4 years, as well as for her many outstanding achievements and contributions to the Los Angeles community.
Founded in 2007, NFMLA has established itself as a strong gathering place for
independent cinema with over 15,000 constituents in the Los Angeles community, screening 500+ films from over 43 countries. In addition to fostering the advancement of new filmmakers and its members in the City, NFMLA’a objective is to promote the economic, educational, social, and cultural advancement of filmmaking, arts and culture in the community.
The annual NewFilmmakers On Location: Los Angeles Video Project, highlights films by Los Angeles area filmmakers, specifically about Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Video Project is a community outreach multimedia program that celebrates and enlists LA’s remarkable pool of filmmakers.
